When a buyer is comparing models or an installer is preparing for commissioning, the delay usually starts with missing documents. This page keeps the first document pack, the first technical questions, and the next support action in one place.

These answers are written as short technical articles so procurement and installer teams can find the decision point quickly. Each section links to the matching product family, documents, or support form.
Start with the document that matches the decision stage. Sending the wrong file to procurement is a common cause of second-round clarification, so use this order:
Each product family block below links directly to the current document packs so you can download the matching set in one pass.
The right choice depends on what the system must do after the panels convert sunlight, not just on panel size. Use this comparison to guide the conversation:
| System type | Best for | Key advantage |
|---|---|---|
| Netzgekoppelter Wechselrichter | Export-focused rooftops, carports, and C&I projects that do not need backup. | Higher efficiency, lower cost per watt, simpler O&M. |
| Hybrid inverter | Self-consumption, battery-ready sites, and partial backup where the inverter and battery are sized separately. | Flexible battery pairing and backup-load control. |
| All-in-one ESS | Home backup, small commercial storage, or fast-install projects that need inverter, battery, and EMS in one enclosure. | Faster installation, single-vendor integration, compact footprint. |
If the buyer is unsure whether the site needs backup loads, ask for the critical-load list and backup duration target before locking the family.
All three are SAJ string on-grid inverters, but they sit at different power levels and use cases. Matching the series to the project scale prevents under-sizing and unnecessary cost:
If you only know the AC output target and roof size, share those two numbers and Sunriver can narrow the series in one reply.
A clear brief cuts the shortlist from a full catalog to two or three models. Include these points in the first message:
Send the details through the technical compatibility form or the quote request page.
SAJ hybrid inverters are designed around LiFePO4 battery chemistry because of its thermal stability and long cycle life. The acceptable voltage window depends on the inverter platform and power class:
Do not assume two LiFePO4 batteries with the same nominal voltage will communicate correctly. The BMS protocol, CAN/RS485 mapping, and charge-current limits must match the inverter model. If the project already has a preferred battery brand, send the model name before finalizing the inverter.
Compatibility questions are cheapest to resolve before the buyer locks the model list. Ask for confirmation when any of these apply:
For these cases, use the technical compatibility form and attach the battery datasheet or single-line diagram if available.
SAJ systems are monitored through the SAJ Elekeeper platform. Depending on the inverter, data reaches the app over Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or an optional 4G dongle.
After the system is online, the app shows:
On some models you can enable “Real-Time Data” from the top-right menu inside the Plant screen to refresh more frequently. If the dashboard shows zero production or stale data, check the communication LED on the inverter and confirm the site router is allowing outbound traffic. For a deeper first-check guide, see SAJ Elekeeper: Monitoring, Alerts, and Setup.
Most fault codes on SAJ inverters fall into a few groups. The exact code is shown on the LED display or in the Elekeeper app. Use this as a first-response guide:
| Code group | Typical meaning | First action |
|---|---|---|
| 01–05 | Internal relay, storage, or temperature errors | Power-cycle once; if it repeats, contact support. |
| 09–19 | Grid over/under voltage or frequency | Check grid parameters and local grid code settings. |
| 27–28 | GFCI or DCI residual current fault | Inspect PV array insulation and grounding. |
| 31–35 | Bus voltage, insulation, or overcurrent | Check PV string polarity and Voc against limits. |
| 45, 49 | Null-line or communication faults | Verify AC wiring and meter/dongle connections. |
For any fault that repeats after a power-cycle, note the model, code, and site voltage, then open a support request through the form below.
Warranty documents are treated as part of the procurement file, not the marketing file. The standard workflow is:
If the buyer needs service planning detail — such as RMA routing, spare-part lead time, or local service partners — include that in the technical support request so the right document can be attached.
Yes. Sunriver supports the technical review stage before the order is placed and after delivery during first commissioning. The typical path is:
Use the Ask Technical Compatibility form for model matching and compatibility, and the quote request page for pricing and document packs.
Next Step
When the buyer is close to a decision, the missing piece is usually document clarity, battery fit, phase matching, or support timing. Use the form for technical compatibility and the quote route when the commercial discussion is already moving.
Send the project requirement, target model or family, and the technical question blocking the next step.
